ANALISIS DETERMINAN KEJADIAN PREEKLAMSIA PADA IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III DI RUMAH SAKIT MUHAMMADIYAH PALEMBANG

The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that the maternal mortality rate is very high. In 2020, the maternal mortality rate was around 287,000. Preeclampsia is the main cause of high maternal mortality and morbidity worldwide. Preeclampsia is a pregnancy complication characterized by increased blood pressure and there is proteinuria. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal age, parity, and history of hypertension simultaneously with the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women in the third trimester at the Muhammadiyah Hospital of Palembang in 2023. The research design used was quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional approach conducted at the Muhammadiyah Hospital of Palembang on July 2024. The population was all pregnant women listed in the medical records of the Muhammadiyah Hospital of Palembang in 2023, totaling 2,400 people, with a sample size of 196 respondents. The results of the univariate analysis from the 96 respondents showed that 18 respondents (18.8%) experienced preeclampsia and 83 respondents (81.6%) did not experience preeclampsia. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between maternal age (p-value = 0.001), parity (p-value = 0.003), and history of hypertension (p-value = 0.002) with the incidence of preeclampsia at the Muhammadiyah Hospital of Palembang in 2023. It is hoped that it can increase knowledge about the problem of preeclampsia in pregnant women, so it can be a source of health science information so that it can prevent preeclampsia in pregnant women, especially mothers who have a high-risk age, high-risk parity and have a history of hypertension.
