FAKTOR- FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KUALITAS TIDUR PADA MAHASISWA KEBIDANAN UNIVERSITAS KADER BANGSA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2024

Based on WHO (World Health Organization) data, the prevalence of sleep quality disorders in the world varies from 15.3% to 39.2%. There are 86% of people around the world experiencing problems with sleep patterns, while in Indonesia 63% of adolescents fail to achieve good sleep quality. Additionally, sleep disorders are estimated to affect 10% of the Indonesian population. Using the IMPAD method, the purpose of this study is to determine what factors simultaneously influence the sleep quality of midwifery students at the University of Kader Bangsa Palembang in 2024. The research design was quantitative research, particularly an analytic survey with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study consisted of final-semester undergraduate (S1) and diploma (D3) midwifery students at University of Kader Bangsa, Palembang, totaling 35 students in June-July 2024. The study employed a total sampling technique, including all 35 participants. Based on the results of the Chi-square statistical test, it was figured out that there was no significant relationship between stress levels and sleep quality with obtained p value = 1.000 (>0.05), there was a significant relationship between smartphone users and sleep quality with obtained p value = 0.020 (≤0.05), there was no significant relationship between anxiety levels and sleep quality with obtained p value = 1.000 (>0.05). Therefore, it was concluded that smartphone use was related to sleep quality, while stress and anxiety levels had no partial or simultaneous relationship with sleep quality among midwifery students at University of Kader Bangsa Palembang, in 2024. The findings of this study highlight the importance of students being more mindful of their sleep schedules to improve sleep quality, including practicing relaxation techniques such as praying before sleep for a more restful experience.
