HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN DAN PENGETAHUAN IBU DENGAN PERKEMBANGAN BAYI USIA 3-12 BULAN DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KEDUNGWUNGU
Abstract
The period of development of the child in the first year of life is an important period for the formation of the basis of the personality of a child. Many factors can affect the development of a child, one of which is the role of a mother including knowledge and education that contributes to achieving optimal development. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of education and knowledge of mothers with the development of babies aged 3-12 months. The type of research used is cross sectional. The population in this study were mothers who had babies aged 3-12 months in the Kedungwungu Health Center Working Area. Purposive Sampling sampling technique with 84 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection for education and knowledge is taken by questionnaires. Developmental tests are carried out using a developmental pre-screening questionnaire (KPSP). Aspects of development assessed include gross motor, fine motor, language, speech, social and independence. The results of the study were that mothers who had basic education as many as 41 (85.4%) of their baby's development were normal and mothers who had sufficient knowledge as much as 37 (90.2%) of their baby's development was normal. The results of the bivariate analysis obtained p value 0.537 (≥ 0.5) showed that there was no relationship between the level of maternal education and the development of the baby and for knowledge obtained a p value of 0.111 (≥0.05) showed that there was no relationship between maternal knowledge and the development of the baby. The influence of knowledge on child development is very important because mothers who have sufficient knowledge and higher education will pay more attention to the development of their children. Parents are expected to always monitor the child's development such as gross motor, fine motor, language and social.
